AAT Trainee Accountant

Our Client is a thriving independent firm of accountants based in Bicester who are looking for an enthusiastic AAT Trainee Accountant to join their team.

Working alongside their busy team you will train on the job and be fully supported in studying for qualifications.
Working hours of 08:30-17:00 or 09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday, offering a starting salary from £20,000 per annum.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Bookkeeping to include bank reconciliation.
• Compile payroll.
• Communicate with clients dealing with adhoc queries using initiative to support or resolve any potential situations.
• Prepare accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Support and assist Senior members of staff with audits and any other tasks requested.

You must:
• Show good attention to detail and take pride in completing high standards of work.
• Have an interest and drive to succeed, learn and develop within accountancy.
• Demonstrate good initiative within your role.
• Hold a UK Drivers Licence or be in the process of obtaining your full licence.
• Be computer literate and able to use and adapt to a range of IT packages including those listed above.
• Hold 3 A-Levels or equivalent.
