Shipping Coordinator

Our client a local business who are well-established within their sector are looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join their team. Based in Bicester the company are focused on building and developing relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be supporting the company in their growth through managing invoices, keeping up to date records and preparing analysis.

Working hours will consist of 08:45-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Duties of the role:
• Maintain an up to date Goods-in Register.
• Complete and chase open records.
• Receipting of spare parts to stock, including application of duty and sundry charges.
• Support with clearance of consignments at port.
• Keep a shipping list of consignments due, cleared for delivery and receipt dates.
• Ensure all departments have the required stock and shipping documentation.
• Build and develop relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Regular reviews of Freight Forwarding rates to ensure the most competitive result is achieved.
• Manage all invoices for goods.
• Any additional administration or adhoc tasks as required.

You must:
• Have previous experience within shipping.
• Show excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Be computer literate and have high-level skills on Microsoft Office.
• Display attention to detail and be methodical in your work as the position will involve high levels of data entry and may be repetitive.
• Work well under pressure and within a team.

Offering £26,000 per annum and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills within the shipping industry.
